Your normal pattern


Some years ago, after hearing that the definition of insanity is ‘doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something different’, I decided to take a closer look at how I did things so as to not to look insane. I had gotten into habits – both conscious and subconscious. The conscious ones were hard to break because I was so used to doing them and the subconscious ones I didn’t even know about. Either way patterns were created.

The other day I noticed that I was doing something different in my life only because I questioned the feelings I was having. Any other time, I would have just had the feeling and acted from it. This time, I asked myself why was I feeling that way and what was different.

It was then that I realized I had broken a pattern and fell right into an epiphany. Apparently not doing the same thing over and over again has more rewards than sanity.

Your thoughts and feelings will confront you if you break your normal pattern. If you pay attention, you will be able to identify your deep seated motives and desires.
